Getting there
The group meeting point is agreed in advance, with departure from Astana to the village of Korgalzhyn. For private trips: shared taxis run from Astana to Korgalzhyn — for current fares please contact the organiser. The taxi stand is by the «Sapargay» bus station. Astana to Korgalzhyn is 130 km, roughly 1.5–2 hours on the road.
What everyone should bring
- ·Binoculars (if you have them)
- ·Outerwear — jacket, shirt or long-sleeved top depending on the weather
- ·A hat
- ·Comfortable, light, closed walking shoes suited to the weather
- ·Sun protection and insect repellent
- ·Your own bottle for drinking water
- ·Camera or phone for photos and video
Where to stay
Rooms with meals can be booked in advance at guesthouses in the village of Korgalzhyn.
How the tour runs
The tour follows an agreed and approved eco route (route link) and starts from the surroundings of Korgalzhyn village.
Safety rules
Your safety is the top priority on every route. Please read these rules before the tour begins.
- Stay with the group and never leave the route without your guide
- Wear closed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
- Carry enough drinking water
- Use sun protection and wear a hat
- Tell your guide immediately if you feel unwell

- Follow your guide's instructions at all times — they are responsible for your safety
- Do not approach wild animals or nesting sites
- Never leave the vehicle without the guide's permission
